BTL EPC bags 1st Intl order from BHEL for BIFPCL, Bangladesh

Kolkata, Sep 22 (UNI) BTL EPC Ltd., one of the major EPC companies in India, recently extended its footprint outside the country by bagging a major turnkey project from Bangladesh India Friendship Power Company (P) Ltd (BIFPCL) in Bangladesh.

With a total contract value of over Rs. 228 crore, the project will be a milestone in the company's journey of over fifty years in the EPC sector, a company release issued here yesterday said.
The project comprises design, engineering, manufacturing supply, erection and commissioning, handing over and O&M of complete CHP conveyor package for 2X660 MW for Bangladesh India Friendship Power Company (P) Ltd (BIFPCL), Bangladesh.

Maitree STPP (Maitree Super Thermal Power Project) is a 2X660 megawatt coal-fired power station at Rampal Upazila of Bagerhat district in Khulna. It is a 50:50 joint venture between India's NTPC and Bangladesh's Bangladesh Power Development Board (BPDB).

BTL EPC with this 14 km long conveyor package is all set to foray the foreign soil.

In these few years, the company won new businesses and added significant skills in design, engineering and execution of projects in bulk material handling, coal chemical plant, process equipment, metal and mineral beneficiation, environment management, metal preparation, power transmission, water and solar division and steel plant utilities among others.
The in-house design and engineering department is equipped with the latest design and engineering software. Their intellectual property overlooking project management is also equipped with relevant software tools. The skill sets are calibrated periodically to remain updated with the development and changing market needs.
