BSF seizes 2.980 kg of heroin from Punjab border

Jalandhar, Aug 1 (UNI) The Border Security Force(BSF) on Saturday seized two plastic bottles filled with contraband suspected to be heroin weighing 2.980 kg from the area of responsibility of 136 Bn of the BSF in Ferozepur sector.

A spokesperson for the Punjab Frontier's Headquarter here said that the BSF troops guarding the water territory of River Ravi noticed some suspicious substance flowing in the river. The boat team of the BSF fished out the suspicious looking objects which turned out to be two plastic bottles. The bottles were opened and the contents examined which they suspected to be heroin.
