New Delhi, Jul 13 (UNI) Keeping strict vigil on international border with Bangladesh in south Bengal frontier, India's premier border guarding force BSF on Monday said that it had apprehended one cattle smuggler, rescued 33 cattle worth over Rs 14 lakh worth Rs 3.28 lakh and 1942 Bottles Phensedyl worth Rs 3.28 lakh, during the Anti-Trans Border crimes operation on Sunday.
According to an official statement issued here, these cattle and Phensedyl were being smuggled to Bangladesh through different locations of the border districts.
On Sunday at around 2215 hrs, acting on specific information, the BSF troopers of Border Out Post (BOP) at Nadirkhana of 24 Battalion, noticed suspicious movement of some miscreants near International Boundary (IB) along with head loads containing Phensedyl bottles.
