Brown sugar worth Rs 35 lakh seized

Chandigarh, Jan 21(UNI) Haryana Police has arrested a person for possessing 734 gram brown sugar valued at Rs 35 lakh in international market from Rewari district.
A spokesperson for Haryana Police said on Tuesday that the arrested accused was identified as Badar Ram, a resident of Pali in Rajasthan. The arrest was made by a team of Crime Investigation Agency during routine patrolling after it noticed a suspect person at railway chowk in Rewari.
A case under relevant sections of NDPS Act was registered against the accused, who will be taken in remand by producing in the Court.
