Britain mulling to pull out judges from Hong Kong court due to PRC's incessant interference

London, Nov 24 (UNI) Britain is currently mulling the prospect of pulling out British judges from the bench of Hong Kong's top court after People's Republic of China(PRC) imposed sweeping anti-subversion laws on Hong Kong and stepped up interference in the local legislature.
In the latest six-monthly report on Hong Kong published on Monday, British Foreign Secretary Dominic Raab states "I have begun consultations with Lord Reed, President of the UK Supreme Court, concerning when to review whether it continues to be appropriate for British judges to sit as non-permanent judges on the Hong Kong Court of Final Appeal."
The report is published twice a year on the implementation of the Sino-British Joint Declaration in the former British colony since its return to Chinese rule in 1997.
