Brazil into semis after 2-1 win in the U-17 World Cup

Kolkata, Oct 22 (UNI) Two goals in six minutes into the second half propelled Brazil into the semifinal of the FIFA U-17 World Cup with 2-1 victory over strong Germany and the South American side would now face England in Guwahati on Wednesday.
Stung an early goal in the 21st minute from a penalty, the three times winners Brazil rallied brilliantly from behind and booted two goals in quick succession to lord over European powerhouse Germany at the packed Salt Lake Stadium here last night.
German captain Jann Fiete Arp scored from penalty in the 21st minute with a right footed shot to the bottom left corner after spot kick conceded by Brazil defender Lucas Halter with a foul on German right winger John Yeboah. This was German captain’s 5th goal in the tournament.
