Brahmakumaris to infuse Spirituality with Environment in Global Summit

New Delhi, Feb 8 (UNI) Brahmakumaris, the renowned spiritual organisation, has come up with a unique idea, of infusing spirituality with environment, in a Global Summit on 'science, spirituality, education and environment- role of human beings in creating a better world'.
Addressing a press conference here on Friday, Rajyogi BK Mruthyunjaya, Organiser of this Summit and Chairperson of the Education Wing of the Brahmakumaris, said the objective of the summit is to promote the practice of human values, scientific and spiritual temperament in personal, professional, public and academic life.
Union Minister of Science, Technology and Geology Harsh Vardhan will inaugurate the day-long seminar, to be held Talkatora Indoor Stadium on February 10.
The event will be organised by the Education Wing of Prajapita Brahma Kumaris Ishwariya Vishwa Vidyalaya, Mount Abu, in collaboration with the Union Ministry of Science and Technology, said Mr Mruthyunjaya.
The event will focus on highlighting and encouraging the values of inner power and capacity, positive thinking and conduct, cordial relations among people of different sections of the human world on this Globe, environment protection and human brotherhood, he added.
According to him, it is very necessary to know the inner self for the upliftment of oneself.
"Spirituality is a medium of uniting people and connecting them to the supreme power to attain inner peace, which is lacking in today's world", Mr Mruthyunjaya told UNI.
Speaking on the occasion, Lok Sabha MP Prasanna Patsani said "Spirituality and Meditation is a medium, through which we can make our lives, society and environment balanced."
According to Rajyogini BK Asha Didi, Chairperson of the Administrators Wing of the Brahmakumaris, "If u we have to improve governance and environment, then we have to first improve our inner self, way of living and mental environment".
Union Minister of State for Water Resources and Parliamentary Affairs Arjun Ram Meghwal, Deputy Chief Minister Manish Sisodia; Padma Shri Sharad P Kale and Delhi BJP chief Manoj Tiwari, among others, will grace the occasion, Mr Mruthyunjaya informed the media.
The different sessions of the summit will be addressed by Mayor of South Delhi Municipal Corporation Narendra Chawla, Chairman of the Asian Films & Television Academy Dr Sandeep Marwah, Economic Policy and Business Analyst from Mexico Ernesto Keistelnos.
Some other world-famed dignitaries, including Grammy award winner and famous environment activist Rikki Keiz, Padam Bhushan Pandit Vishwa Mohan Bhatt and Japan's world-renowned Violinist Iokaichimaru, will address the audience on Environmental issues and also present their original creations, to enthrall the audience at the summit.
Chief Organiser of the summit Rajyogini BK Shukla Didi said that it is with his inferior, arrant and abominable deeds that man has defiled the human life and environment.
''To bring the world back to a civilised and humanitarian existence, man must change his thinking, attitude and conduct, so that we can have a pure, comfortable and eco-friendly life,'' she said.
She emphasised that spirituality and human values must be inculcated in individuals and society at large.
This summit aims at highlighting and encouraging the values of inner power and capacity, positive thinking and conduct, cordial relations among people of different sections of the human world on this Globe, environment protection and human brotherhood.
