Patna, Nov 28 (UNI) The pre-lunch sitting of both houses of the state legislature were rocked by the issue of use of CBI for political reasons as members created ruckus forcing adjournment of houses much ahead of scheduled time.
Bihar assembly was adjourned only after three minutes of the commencement of business, state legislative council was also adjourned only after 15 minutes till lunch recess as RJD members created uproarious scenes in the house on the issue of use of CBI for political reasons.
Soon after acting chairman Haroon Rashid occupied the chair in the upper house, RJD member Ramchandra Purve raised the issue through adjournment motion. He said, according to media reports, the then CBI director Alok Verma in his reply to Central Vigilance Commission (CVC) had alleged that the CBI then special director Rakesh Asthana, Bihar deputy chief minister Sushil Kumar Modi and a senior officer of Prime Minister Office were in regular touch when the probe into railway hotel tender scam was in progress.
