Boris Johnson says second wave of COVID-19 hitting the UK

London, Sept 18(UNI) British Prime Minister Boris Johnson said on Friday that the UK is "now seeing a second wave" of COVID-19 pandemic.
Addressing the media Mr Johnson said he did not "want to go into bigger lockdown measures" but that tighter social distancing restrictions might be necessary to tackle the second wave of the pandemic.
According to sources a new three-tiered set of restrictions is being considered to tackle the pandemic, BBC reported, which aims to avoid a nationwide lockdown but could stop household-to-household contact.
