Paris, Jun 8 (UNI) Ace Indian tennis star Rohan Bopanna clinched his maiden Grand Slam after winning the French Open mixed doubles final with his partner Canada’s Gabriela Dabrowski here today at Roland Garros. The 37-year-old accomplished his dream after outclassing the German-Colombian duo of Anna-Lena Grönefeld and Robert Farah by 2-6 6-2 (12-10) in the finals of the mixed doubles along with his Canadian partner Gabriela Dabrowski. Bopanna reached the final of any Grand Slam after seven years. He was the finalist of the men's doubles at the US Open in 2010 with Pakistani partner Aisam-ul-haq-Qureshi but lost to the legendary American Bryan brothers - Bob and Mike. With this win, Bopanna created history as he became only the fourth Indian to win a grand slam title, following Leander Paes, Mahesh Bhupathi and Sania Mirza. UNI XC- RSD ADG 1839
