Bootleggers should be booked under NSA: Yogi

Lucknow, Jun 19 (UNI) Asking officials to take strict action against bootleggers, Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath on Wednesday said that property of such people, who play with lives of innocent people should be seized and sent to jail under National Security Act (NSA).
“There has been incident of illicit liquor trade in which precious lives have been lost. What happened in Barabanki is unfortunate and there should not be a recurrence of such incident,” Yogi said while addressing officials of the excise department during a review meeting held here.
CM Yogi directed the officials to have in-depth case study of the Barabanki incident and who is responsible for adulteration of alcohol and how long they have been practicing this. If there is any political interference or protection of people involved in it then find them too, he said.
