Bodies of patients died in govt hospitals shifted to native places through hearse ambulance service: Minister

Hyderabad, Sep 21 (UNI) Telangana Health Minister Etela Rajender informed the Assembly on Saturday that through Hearse Ambulance Service the bodies of patients who died while undergoing treatment in Government Hospitals were being transported freely to their native places in the state.

Replying to questions from members in the house during question hour, Mr Rajender said that the service was introduced in December 2016 keeping in view of poor people who were under going treatment in the government hospitals. So far 50 ambulances –10 each at Gandhi and Osmania Hospitals, 10 kept spare in Hyderabad and remaining was kept at other important places for the purpose, the Minister said.
