BLPF to burn pages of Gazetteer of Sikkim

Gangtok, Mar 20 (UNI) Miffed being referred as Scheduled Tribes in the Gazetteer of Sikkim, the Bhutia Lepcha Protection Force members have decided to burn the copies of the pages.
Phigu Tshering Bhutia, President Bhutia Lepcha Protection Force said,"We will burn the pages that refer to us as Scheduled Tribes on March 24. We condemn being called STs."
"We are BLs (Bhutia-Lepchas) and not tribals.If history is distorted this way what would be the result?"he questioned.
