Blind university in Kerala soon: Gehlot

Lucknow, Jan 12 (UNI) Union Social Justice and Empowerment Minister Thawar Chand Gahlot today announced that the Centre has decided to construct a university for blinds in Kerala, besides setting up five sports centres for the physically challenged in the country.
The minister also announced that the work for 10 new braille press has been started in the country, besides, have started giving scholarship to the physically handicapped for pre-matric and post-matric with reserving 3 per cent jobs for them.
" The Centre was considering to provide universal identity cards for the physically challenged persons in the country to provide them facilities like health and others across the country," he said while addressing a function here on the birth anniversary of Swami Vivekanand.
