Dubai, Jan 17 (UNI) Continuing their winning streak, a dominant India on Wednesday defeated Bangladesh by 7 wickets at the MCC Ground Ajman, UAE to enter the summit clash of the ongoing Blind Cricket One Day World Cup.
Earlier in the day, Bangladesh opted to bat after winning the toss and were wrapped up for 256 runs in 38.5 overs. For Bangladesh, an unbeaten 108 by Abdul Mallik was the highest individual score.
Durga Rao was the wrecker-in-chief for India after he picked up three wickets conceding just 20 runs.
Chasing the target, opener Ganesh Muhudkar slammed 112 runs off 69 balls and had good support from partner Deepak, who smashed 53 off 44 deliveries to put India in the driver’s seat.
Later, Venkatesh (19) and Prakash (16) guided India home in just 23 overs, with 17 overs to spare.
Defending champions India will now face Pakistan on January 20 at Sharjah. India remained unbeaten throughout this tournament and are considered the favourites for retaining their title.
