Blame deforestation for rise in temperatures in North India: activist

Pune, Jun 22 (UNI) Social activist Anil Agawane on Saturday attributed rise in temperatures specially in North Indian states, to deforestation and suggested that the only solution to this problem is to plant and grow trees on a large scale.
Despite the government's efforts in creating public awareness about tree plantation on the World Environment Day which falls on June five every year, the entire India is witnessing massive felling of trees everywhere, he said here.
