Mahoba, Jan 22 (UNI) Bharatiya Kisan Union (BKU) district president Jagram Tiwari was killed in a road mishap in the Kabrai area of this district in Uttar Pradesh, police said on Wednesday.
Deputy Superintendent of Police Jatashankar Rao here said that Mr Tiwari, who was on his motorcycle, was talking to an individual on the roadside near the Banda chauraha at the Kanpur-Sagar national highway.
Meanwhile, a speeding tractor, coming from behind, rammed into his bike, resulting in his on the spot death.
Following the accident, the driver of the tractor fled from the spot. Police is on the lookout for him.
