Lucknow, Dec 10 (UNI) Samajwadi Party President Akhilesh Yadav on Tuesday said that Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) will privatise electricity, hike the tariff, lay off employees, hire people on contract, and then will take a commission from the contractors.

In a statement issued here, Akhilesh said, "BJP will then exploit the public by increasing the electricity bill, will take a part of the increased bill from the electricity companies through the back door, then it will use this corrupt earning to form the government, will repeat this vicious cycle of emptying the pockets of the public after forming the government in some other form."
He said that after electricity, who knows the turn of privatisation of water may also come. He said that BJP is not even afraid of the anger and resentment of employees and the general public because these elections are not won by votes, but by deceit. "Where the public is alert and the administration is honest, BJP loses," he claimed.
Akhilesh said that BJP has not produced even a single unit of electricity. "Neither power generation has been increased for cheap and continuously available electricity, nor transmission has been strengthened nor distribution has been improved. Instead, the BJP has considered the basic needs of the people like electricity as a money generating machine, has done the money transmission from here to there and has done the distribution of the money by sharing it among themselves," he said.
He said, "The BJP works on the policy of lies and loot. It makes new strategies to loot the government budget and loot the people. The aim of the BJP is not public welfare and public welfare. It exploits the people for its benefit. The employees and the public are troubled by the exploitative policy of the BJP. In 2027, the people of the state will put an end to the unjust rule of the BJP."
