BJP will once again form govt in Haryana under Khattar's leadership : Rajnath

Kalka (Haryana), Aug 18 (UNI) Defence Minister Rajnath Singh on Sunday lauded the working of present state government at helm for the last five years and said he is confident that the BJP would once again form government in the state under the leadership of Chief Minister Manohar Lal Khattar.
The people of the state would re-elect Manohar Lal Khattar as Chief Minister, he said while addressing the people at the inaugural ceremony of 'Jan Aashirwad Yatra', which will be carried out in 90 assembly constituencies of the state, here.
Mr Khattar, many Union Ministers, State Ministers, MPs, MLAs, Chairmen of Boards and Corporations, district President of BJP, office bearers and other dignitaries were also present on the occasion.
Mr Singh applauded Mr Khattar and said the people of the state know their Chief Minister better than him, as Mr Khattar has presented the report card of performance of the government. He is very well handling the responsibility given to him by the people. He said the representatives of people must present the report card of their performance by going amidst the people, as the representatives are accountable to people.
Mr Rajnath said BJP did not have any chief ministerial name in 2014 Haryana assembly elections, but when BJP won with full majority, then Prime Minister Narendra Modi chose Manohar Lal Khattar as the Chief Minister. In the last five years, the results of works done by Mr Khattar proved that he is an able Chief Minister.
Referring to earlier regimes in the state, he said earlier, corruption used to be the hot topic concerning them but the present chief minister is untouched by it.
Referring to commendable works done by Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Chief Minister Manohar Lal Khattar, he said they have together opened the new vistas of development. He said he had himself remained the Chief Minister of Uttar Pradesh, but Mr Manohar Lal has worked even better than him as Chief Minister.
He appealed to the people to mindfully elect their representative in the upcoming assembly elections. In Haryana, investment of Rs 85,000 crore has taken place in the last five years. In 'Ease of Doing Business', Haryana has reached to third position from 14th in the country and is expected to reach the first place in the next two-three years.
He said Prime Minister Narendra Modi has taken a pledge to facilitate ‘Ease of Living’ so that poor people of the country could lead a respectable life. The Prime Minister has started 'Swachh Bhara' Mission and has got constructed toilets, has provided gas connections in poor households and under Ayushmaan Bharat, poor patients are treated for serious illnesses entailing compensation upto Rs five lakhs.
Mr Singh said the state government has taken farmer-friendly decisions. Under which, the BJP government has worked to procure the mustard, millet and sunflower crops of farmers. Similarly, the state government has made numerous efforts to double the income of farmers and most probably the income of farmers is expected to be doubled by 2021 and if they take up Ayurvedic farming, their income would increase by 2.5 times by 2023-24.
