Entertainment » OtherPosted at: Dec 30 2016 3:22PM BJP will not accept new Chief Minister, extends full support to Khandu: TagaItanagar, Dec 30 (UNI) BJP will not accept any other leader in ChiefMinister Post other than Pema Khandu, said BJP Legislator Party Leaderand Minister Tamiyo Taga. “Sudden change in leadership is not acceptable to BJP therefore, wethe 13 BJP members will vote in favour of sitting Chief Minister PemaKhandu,” the senior BJP leader categorically said in a press meet heretoday. It might be mentioned, 7 Peoples’ Party of Arunachal (PPA) MLAs,including chief minister Pema Khandu, and Deputy Chief Minister ChownaMein were suspended yesterday from primary membership due to theiranti-party activities. “As of now Khandu is enjoying majority member’s support”. Out of 43PPA, 26 members have extended their support to Pema Khandu, the BJPleader informed, adding, the 13 BJP members is also wholeheartedlysupporting Mr Khandu.“Moreover, BJP central leadership also directed us to support Pema”, he said. Reacting on the issue, the BJP leader said, notably the 43 Congresslegislators defected from the party in September last. The defectedCongress members joined to PPA and elected Khandu as leader of PPALP.The BJP unconditionally supported the PPA to form a new government.Later BJP joined into Khandu Ministry, he said.As a coalition partner of the new government, the BJP-led PPAgovernment automatically considered as member of North East DemocraticAlliance (NEDA), he said. However, the decision of suspension 7 PPA members, including CM andDCM, taken by the PPA president last night was fully one sided withoutany consultation of coalition partner BJP, Taga alleged.
