BJP urges Governor Jagdeep Dhankar to impose President's Rule in West Bengal

Kolkata, Dec 15 (UNI) BJP state president and MP Dilip Ghosh today urged Governor Jagdeep Dhankar to recommend President's Rule in West Bengal in view of the violent protests against the Citizenship (Amendment) Act.
'We called on the governor and urged him to send a detailed report to the Centre of the largescale violence in the state carried out by infiltrators. We also requested him to visit the affected areas,' Mr Ghosh told reporters after coming out of the Raj Bhavan.
He accused the Trinamool Congress Government of inaction in the face of the torrid violence.

Odisha: Couple sentenced to life for killing minor child
