BJP to suspend Kheto Sema for signing statement on poll boycott

Dimapur, Jan 29 (UNI) The BJP is likely to suspend party leader Kheto Sema for what it said indulging in anti-party activities by his decision to sign a statement which claimed that the political parties will not field candidates and allow filing of nominations.
A source in the BJP state unit said that the party's central leadership has taken exception to Mr Sema's move as he was 'not authorised to sign such a declaration.'
In a fast paced development on Monday, political parties including the NPF, the BJP and the Congress announced that they would not announce candidates and allow their nominees to file nomination papers for the ensuing Assembly elections.
