New Delhi, July 18 (UNI) The ruling BJP will issue whip for all its members in Lok Sabha directing them to be present in the House on Thursday and Friday, Parliamentary Affairs Minister Ananth Kumar said here.
He told reporters that the BJP-led NDA is confident of giving a "befitting reply" to the opposition parties for their No Trust Motion against the four-year-old Modi government.
"All other NDA constituents will issue whips for their respective MPs separately," he said.
The TDP also issued whip on Wednesday urging members to be present in the House on Thursday and Friday.
TDP chip whip in Lok Sabha K Narayana Rao said the party MPs should be present in the House "throughout two days - Thursday and Friday".
The No Trust Motion moved by Vijaywada MP Kesineni Srinivas was accepted for debate by the Speaker Sumitra Mahajan after the head count.
Meanwhile, a senior TDP leader told UNI: "We know our limitations. We do not have adequate numbers. Buy we are happy that finally the debate on No Trust motion against the Modi govcernment will take place and our party can highlight the genuine grievances of our state".
