Bengaluru, Nov 20 (UNI) Bhratiya Janata Party (BJP), Karnataka, today staged statewide agitation in protest against alleged ill treatement of Ayappa devotees visiting Sabarimala by Kerala Government.
Agitators led by Sabarimala Protection Committee assembled in front of Mourya circle here and shouted slogans condemning the atrocities on the Ayappa devotees allegedly by the Kerala Government.
BJP State General Secretary Shobha Kharandlje, addressing the agitators, alleged that the devotees who should have been in the temple having darshan of lord Ayappa are languishing in the jail due to Kerala Government's wrong policy. Police who should have been doing there duties of protecting the law and order are posted at the temple without any reason.
