BJP slams AAP over remarks on probe agency

New Delhi, Feb 3 (UNI) BJP on Friday slammed Arvind Kejriwal led AAP for questioning the functioning of ED and said the Delhi Chief Minster does not want corruption to end from the country.
"The way Aam Aadmi Party is questioning ED, it is becoming clear that Arvind Kejriwal is with those who increase corruption" BJP spokesperson Meenakshi Lekhi said, while addressing press conference here are Party Headquarters.
Lekhi said, "ED's duty is to act against illegal and unconstitutional activities in the country and If someone is challenging the capacity and work of ED, then he is also violating the Supreme Court, because the Court has upheld all the powers given to ED."
She also accused the AAP of being indulged in illegal activities and unregulated businesses.
The Party spokesperson also said that "the ED has proved through its investigation that the Aam Aadmi Party is running illegal business under the guise of liquor policy".
She alleged the "ED has also revealed the names of the Chief Minister and the Deputy Chief Minister involved in this illegal business".
On Thursday, the Enforcement Directorate said that the Aam Aadmi Party used the money generated from the alleged Delhi liquor scam for election campaigning in Goa.
"Investigation of the trail of this kickback so far has revealed that part of these funds was used in the election campaign of the AAP," said the ED in the chargesheet filed in the case.
Responding to the ED's chargesheet Arvind Kejriwal had its charge was "completely fictional".
The Delhi Excise Policy, implemented from November 17, 2021 was scrapped in July 2022 following a CBI probe into its implementation.
