BJP should not be too complacent about 2019: Shashi Tharoor

New Delhi, Mar 12 (UNI) Amid increasing talk in political circles that the massive win in Uttar Pradesh and Uttarakhand had set the stage for a BJP win in the 2019 Lok Sabha polls, Congress leader Shashi Tharoor today said the party should not be complacent about 2019. In a post on social media, Mr Tharoor said, 'Of the 5 states that went to the polls, BJP was in power in 2. It lost both. They shouldn't be too complacent about 2019 either.' In the results of Assembly elections to five states, declared yesterday, BJP secured a massive win in Uttar Pradesh and Uttarakhand, but suffered a setback in Punjab and Goa. While the BJP Akali alliance in Punjab was reduced to 18 seats, in Goa, BJP secured just 13 seats in the 40-member Assembly. UNI AR CJ RJ 1241
