BJP's win in three states will not have impact on Cong in next LS election in Assam : APCC

Guwahati, Dec 4 (UNI) Assam Pradesh Congress Committee (APCC) President Bhupen Borah on Monday said the BJP win in three Northern states on Sunday will not have any impact on the party in the next Lok Sabha election in Assam.

Addressing a press conference here, he said the BJP's victory in Madhya Pradesh, Rajasthan, and Chhattisgarh assembly elections would not have any impact on the Congress party in Assam.
He said every state has different political issues.
The party's defeat will not deter our goal for the 2024 Lok Sabha election, he added.
Borah said that the Congress is confident of winning in Rajasthan and Chhattisgarh but admitted that there are mistakes in selection of candidates that led to the defeat.
He emphasized the party's commitment to learn 'valuable lessons' from this setback.
