BJP’s move to seek AIUDF help to win RS seats expose its double standard: Cong allies

Guwahati, Mar 6 (UNI) The Congress and its alliance partners said that the BJP’s move to seek help of the AIUDF MLAs to ensure victory to the third Rajya Sabha seat, has exposed the double standard of the BJP.
Chief of the Assam Pradesh Congress Committee (APCC) Gaurav Gogoi alleged on Friday that Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma and the BJP, who had been criticizing the AIUDF with the most derogatory terms, accepted the support of the same party to win the third Rajya Sabha seat.
While the BJP and its alliance partners had the numbers to win two Rajya Sabha seats, it sought the help from the Badruddin Ajmal led AIUDF to win the third Rajya Sabha seat, which is falling vacant on April 9.
