Bhopal, Sept 26 (UNI) Madhya Pradesh Congress President Kamal Nath today described the 'Karyakarta Mahakumbh' organised by the ruling Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) as a flop show.
“It was a 'loot kumbh' in which the BJP splurged public money. Tax collected on diesel and petrol has been expended for organising the event,” said Mr Nath.
Mentioning that public expected some gift from Prime Minister Narendra Modi during his visit, he said that neither the Premier nor BJP President Amit Shah spoke on development.
“The Mahakumbh was limited to criticism of the Congress and its president Rahul Gandhi,” said Mr Nath.
Rejecting Mr Modi's allegation that the Congress is going cap in hand begging for alliances to small parties, he said that the Congress does not beg anyone, and that this was the method of working of the BJP.
