Puducherry, Jan 24 (UNI) Chief Minister V Narayanasamy on Sunday said that the claim of Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) to come to power in the Union Territory in the next Assembly election to be held in April or May will not come true.
Addressing the Congress Executive Committee meeting here, he said that BJP could not secure even a single seat in Tamil Nadu and Puducherry in the elections.
The Chief Minister said BJP is not a party to reckon with in Puducherry and added that the saffron party instead of questioning Lt.Governor Kiran Bedi for blocking the functioning of the government is burning the copies of Congress election manifesto.
BJP should be driven away from Tamil Nadu and Puducherry, he added.
Mr Narayanasamy said the people will reject the BJP and those parties having tie-up with it in the ensuing Assembly election.
Those who are joining the BJP will be ‘vanished’ after the election, the Chief Minister asserted.
