Baihar, MP, Apr 18 (UNI) In an attempt to blow apart Bharatiya Janata Party ranks with political cannon, Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Kamal Nath alleged on Thursday that the one-and-a-a-half decades of saffron dispensation in the state was a period that only witnessed the politics of hollow announcements being played.
“Nothing was achieved during that tenure except the making of untrue promises that directly translated into the unemployment menace assuming titanic proportions. The then government spoke of establishing industries but the revolting reality is that the figure of factory units that closed down exceeded the number set up. Corruption reached the nadir; approximately Rs 600 crore were siphoned off in the garb of sapling plantation along the Narmada’s banks. Other scams are also universally known,” he averred while addressing an election rally in this Balaghat District town.
