BJP retains Secunderabad LS seat, G Kishan Reddy wins over TRS

Hyderabad, May 23 (UNI) BJP candidate G Kishan Reddy won the Secunderabad Parliamentary constituency defeating his nearest rival TRS candidate Talasani Sai Kiran Yadav, son of Minister Telasani Sinivas yadav, by over 62,000 votes.
Three-time MLA Kishan Reddy, former President of the state BJP, who lost the Assembly polls in 2018 against TRS, retained the Secunderabad Lok Sabha seat, which was represented by Bandaru Dattatraya.
The saffron party has secured 3,84,780 votes, while 32-year-old Kiran, the young leader in TRS, got 3,22,666 votes and Congress candidate Anjan Kumar Yadav, who had won Secunderabad LS seat in 2004 and 2009, but lost in 2014 to Bandaru Dattatreya of BJP, has secured third position in the elections.
