States » East » CAEPosted at: Oct 24 2019 7:05PM BJP retains 3 seats in Assam by-polls; Cong loses to AIUDFGuwahati, Oct 24 (UNI) The ruling BJP managed to retain the three seats which were already in its kitty in by-polls in Assam, while the main Opposition party, Congress, lost its lone seat among the four constituencies for which by-polls were held in the state, to another Opposition party, All India United Democratic Front (AIUDF). As per final results declared by the Election Commission of India, BJP has retained Ratabari, Rangapara and Sonari constituencies.
