BJP questions 'liberals' on their silence on Waris Pathan's remarks

New Delhi, Feb 21 (UNI) BJP on Friday questioned the silence of the so-called 'liberals' on the divisive remark made by AIMIM leader Waris Pathan that Muslim community may be as less as 15 crore but they can give a fitting reply to the majority community if needed.
'We have been vindicated that you have used the ladies of Shaheen Bagh as shield to further your cause of hatred and false propagation,' said BJP spokesperson Sambit Patra at a press conference here.
He said 'all these people are misguiding and confusing our Muslim brothers'.
'Hath mein samvidhan, dil mein Waris Pathan (It has been proved that all these people have Constitution in their hands and Waris Pathan in their hearts),' Dr Patra said.
He said Asaduddin Owaisi's party has said that 15 crore will overshadow 100 crores, adding that if a BJP leader had made such a statement, then all so-called liberals would have come to the streets, creating chaos in the whole country.
'BJP asks with all sensitivity that if a BJP leader had made such a comment then all so called liberals would have come to streets.. where are Rahul, Priyanka, Arundhati Roy, Teesta Setalvad....,' Dr Patra said.
They (liberals) are hiding behind Constitution, nobody is asking for clarification, he said and maintained that it is 'not a coincidence but a conspiracy'.
AIMIM leader Waris Pathan has hit out at those who have objected to Muslims protesting against the government and said members of the Muslim community may be as less as 15 crore but they can give a fitting reply to the majority community if needed.
In a video he was seen saying now it's just the Muslim women who have rattled the entire country but when the entire community comes together, it will have a bigger impact.
