BJP promises COVID-19 vaccine for all in GHMC limits

Hyderabad, Nov 26 (UNI) The BJP manifesto for election to the Greater Hyderabad Municipal Corporation (GHMC) containing numerous sops to attract the voters was released by former Maharashtra Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis here on Thursday.
The manifesto promising sops to a cross section of the people, was released in the presence of prominent party leaders. at a function held in BJP's state headquarters.
The manifesto promises supply of coronavirus vaccine to all in the GHMC limits and Rs.25,000 flood relief to the affected people in the city.
Mr Fadnavis said that a comprehensive plan would be prepared to prevent floods in the affected areas of the city in future.
The Layout Regularization Scheme (LRS) introduced by the state government casting a burden on the people to the tune of Rs.15,000 crore would be abolished if the BJP voted to power in GHMC election, he said.
Stating that the state government had ignored the PM Awas yojana to provide houses for deserving, the former Chief Minister said that the BJP would make efforts to convert the own house dream of the poor into a reality.
Mr Fadnavis said that the manifesto was prepared in tune with the expectations of the common people.
He said that while the entire country attained independence on August 15, 1947 the erstwhile Hyderabad state secured its freedom on September 17,1948, adding that if the BJP came to power in the GHMC poll, September 17 would be celebrated as liberation day.
The promises include free travel for women in metro rail, city bus and MMTS services besides toilets at every one km for women, every household would be provided tap and 24-hour water supply and abolition of property tax in SC and ST colonies.
The senior BJP leader began his speech reminding that this day coincides with the Constitution Day and added that we would proceed as per the Constitution.
