BJP MP Rajeev denies BJP hand in Cong crisis in K'taka

New Delhi, Jul 8 (UNI) BJP lawmaker from Karnataka Rajeev Chandrasekhar on Monday denied his or his party's involvement in the political crisis being faced by the Congress in the state.
"Dear Dr Parameshwara - this “aircraft” is a commercial charter - that has been chartered by many
people including your own ministers in past. So do not blame me or an aircraft or BJP for the problems in .... corrupt opportunistic alliance," Mr Chandrasekhar tweeted in response to a missive from Karnataka Deputy Chief Minister G Parameshwara.

"Traces of BJP's role in destabilising the government are all over the place. It is disgraceful that the party is attempting to topple a democratically elected government and grab power through the backdoor, when the state is reeling under one of the worst droughts," Dr Parameshwara tweeted earlier in the day.
The political crisis in Karnataka figured prominently in the Lok Sabha wherein the BJP and the Centre asserted that the ruling side has nothing to do with the ongoing resignation saga in the Congress party in the southern state.
Defence Minister Rajnath Singh, who is the Deputy Leader of the Lok Sabha, said : "In fact the resignation saga in Congress has been triggered by their party president Rahul Gandhi himself and toeing his line 'ek se ek diggaj Congress neta' (all top ranking Congress leaders) are resigning".
Raising the issue during Zero Hour, Congress floor leader Adhir Ranjan Chowdhury said the defection being encouraged by BJP is a threat to parliamentary democracy.
Mr Chowdhury also said the role of BJP in the ongoing political developments is suspect as some defectors were taken in a special aircraft - the charge was, however, denied vehemently by the ruling side.
