BJP MP demands probe of Vadra, then Defence Min role in Pilatus aircraft deal

New Delhi, Jun 26 (UNI) Lok Sabha Member Nishikant Dubey on Wednesday demanded investigation into the role of UPA chairperson Sonia Gandhi's son-in-law Robert Vadra and the then Defence minister in the purchase of 75 basic training aircraft for the IAF.
Speaking during Zero Hour, the BJP member said there were irregularities in the purchase of 75 Pilatus Basic Training Aircraft during the tenure of the UPA government.
He said the Central Bureau of Investigation has registered a case against alleged businessman Sanjay Bhandari for alleged corruption in the deal. The CBI has also filed a case against the Indian Air Force, an unknown officer of the Ministry of Defence and against unknown officials of Pilatus Aircraft Limited, Switzerland.
