BJP MLC Surajnandan Kushwaha dies at 61

Patna, Dec 29 (UNI) Senior BJP leader and party MLC Surajnandan Kushwaha died following cardiac arrest in the wee hours today. He was 61.
Mr Kushwaha is survived by his wife, son and daughter.
Known for his gentle behaviour, Mr Kushwaha had returned from Sri Lanka yesterday and went back home in Bazar Samiti locality in the state capital late last night.
Mr Kushwaha's last rites would be performed at Gulbi Ghat on the bank of Ganga river later in the day.
Chief Minister Nitish Kumar, his deputy Sushil Kumar Modi, Bihar Legislative Council working chairman Haroon Rashid and several ministers reached Mr Kushwaha's residence and expressed their condolences.
A large number of BJP workers also reached his residence to pay their respects to Mr Kushwaha.
