BJP MLA admitted that he threatened late Petroleum minister H N Bahuguna to pour uranium in Ganga

Dehradun, Nov 6 (UNI) Uttarakhand BJP MLA has admitted that he had warned former union petroleum minister Hemwati Nandan Bahuguna in 1970s to sprinkle uranium in River Ganga if the separate Himalayan state was not carved out of Uttar Pradesh. Ruling party MLA said this inside the state assembly during special assembly session on the occasion of state silver jubilee celebrations.
Making an startling revelation inside the house on Tuesday Uttarakhand ruling party MLA Kishor Upadhyay admitted that the warning was issued by him to former union petroleum minister Hemwati Nandan Bahuguna in late 1970s, during his meeting with latter in Delhi. Upadhyay said that he had gone there to meet late union minister with demand for the formation of separate Uttarakhand and latter questioned what will happen if separate Uttarakhand was not formed.
"We had gone to Delhi with a delegation led by Indramani Badoni to meet Hemwati Nandan Bahuguna when he was union Petroleum minister. He showed mercy on us and we went to meet him in the morning. I was young and lacked wises. He offered us chapatis to eat and I said don't do anything but form a separate state for us. Bahuguna said what will you do if I don't give you Uttarakhand. I replied to him we will not do anything but I will pour uranium in Ganga in Haridwar and you all will die" said Upadhyay speaking in the assembly during discussion in the special sessionof the house. BJP MLA was speaking over past 25 years of the state's existence and vision for its future growth.
