BJP maintains edge on 14 of 17 reserved seats in UP

Lucknow, May 23 (UNI) Out of the 17 reserved seats in Uttar Pradesh, the Bharatiya Janata Party is maintaining a significant edge on 14 seats whereas the Bahujan Samaj Party (BSP) is ahead on two seats.
Uttar Pradesh has 17 reserved seats out of the total 80 parliamentary constituencies and in the Nagina (reserved), Lalganj (reserved) and Machhlishahr (reserved) seats, BSP continues to be ahead.
In Nagina, BSP candidate Girish Chandra is steering ahead of BJP's Yashwant Singh with 1,63,450 votes, whereas in Lalganj (reserved) seat, BSP's Sangeeta Azad is ahead of BJP's Neelam Sonker with 1,28,361 votes. On the rest 15 seats, BJP candidates are maintaining an edge against their contenders.
