BJP leaders should visit Hyderabad during floods, instead of elections: TRS

Hyderabad, Nov 25 (UNI) Welcoming to the state the top leadership of BJP, who were coming for campaigning of the local municipal elections in Hyderabad, the Telangana Rashtra Samiti on Wednesday said it would have been much better, if the same leaders had come to Hyderabad, when the city was facing heavy rains and floods.
Heavily criticising the National BJP leaders campaigning in Hyderabad for GHMC elections, TRS working President and Municipal Minister K T Rama Rao (KTR) said, ''Instead of coming with empty hands, I request them to bring along the Rs 1350 crore financial assistance (for relief measures in rain-affected colonies), which CM KCR had requested for in a letter to Prime Minister Narendra Modi earlier.
''Since they are visiting the city, they can pay a visit to Durgam Cheruvu bridge, Annapurna Centres, and Basti Dawakhanas too,'' Mr KTR said, during the election campaign at Uppal near here.

Hyderabad, April 24 (UNI) The Election Commission of India (ECI) has issued a communication stipulating that every individual employed in any business, trade, industrial undertaking, or establishment, eligible to vote in elections to the House of the People or the Legislative Assembly of a State, shall be granted a paid holiday under Section 135 B of the Representation of People Act.
