BJP is a family: PM Modi on party’s democratic polls and new president

New Delhi, Jan 20 (UNI) Prime Minister Narendra Modi has lauded the successful conclusion of the Bharatiya Janata Party’s national organisational elections, describing the process as a testament to the party’s democratic tradition, spirit, discipline, and worker-centric approach.
"When it is about the party, Nitin Nabin is the boss, and I am a party worker..." PM Modi said as Nitin Nabin, the youngest ever, took charge as the national president of the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) at the party headquarters in the national capital today.
Pointing at the party’s ethos of service and collective leadership, PM Modi said, “ On behalf of the millions of party workers across the country and myself, I extend my heartfelt congratulations to all the former presidents for their invaluable contributions.”
Prime Minister Narendra Modi, Home Minister Amit Shah, and Defence Minister Rajnath Singh were among the senior leaders present on the occasion.
“For the past several months, the organisational election process, which involves electing leaders from the smallest unit of the party all the way up to the national president, has been conducted in a completely democratic manner, keeping in mind the spirit and every provision of the BJP constitution. Today, it has been formally concluded.."
"This grand organisational election process is a symbol of the BJP's democratic faith, organisational discipline, and worker-centric approach. I extend my heartfelt congratulations to all the party workers across the country for making this process a success,” Modi said.
Highlighting the BJP’s deep-rooted culture, Modi noted, “The BJP is a culture. The BJP is a family. Here, we have relationships that go beyond mere membership. The BJP is a tradition that is driven by process, not by position. Our presidents change, but our ideals do not. The leadership changes, but the direction remains the same. The BJP's spirit is national, because our connection is local. Our roots run deep in the soil. That is why the BJP provides a platform for regional aspirations, making them the foundation for national ambitions. Today, people from every corner of the country are joining the BJP, and anyone who wants to begin their political journey finds the BJP's entry point to be the best and safest option.”
