BJP – IPFT conflict turns worst in Tripura: BJP MP and MLAs saved narrowly

Agartala, Jul 15 (UNI) Conflict between coalition partners of Tripura government has

continued to haunt peace in tribal-dominated areas of the state for past few days and

has taken worst turn on Tuesday in Behelabari of Khowai districts where three BJP

supporters were injured and BJP Loksabha MP Rebati Tripura was narrowly escaped

allegedly in the attack of IPFT.

A day before some IPFT supporters were injured in the attack of BJP in Tulashikhar

area and yesterday’s attack was believed to be the retaliation from IPFT side. However,

the injured workers have been undergoing treatment in Khowai hospital. Despite naming

the attackers' police have yet to arrest anybody in connection with the incident.

MP Rebati alleged that the perpetrators have ransacked the house of BJP local leader

Pradip Debbarma and injured him in the previous night. He along with BJP MLAs

Rampada Jamatia and Pinaki Daschoudhury went to visit the troubled area and meet

wounded Pradip.

As many as more than 200 supporters of IPFT had gheraoed Rebati Tripura and his

team. A clash broke out between BJP and IPFT supporters in which three BJP

supporters including a 50-year old person were injured. However, a large contingent of

police escorted the BJP leaders and brought out of the area in the evening.

The continuous violence between two partners in ADC areas indicated despite the

assurance of performing cohesive relationship between the partners in the meeting

of top leaders of both the parties have no impact rather polarization in communal line

is being persuaded to get a stronghold in hills.

The relation between IPFT and BJP has been worsened a year after the coalition

government came in power.

According to report, more than a hundred of violent incident between two partners

were reported in past one and half years, which is almost equal to the alleged attacks

on the oppositions.

Kohima, Aug 13 (UNI) Nagaland Chief Minister and the Leader of the House Neiphiu Rio today gave a statement on COVID -19 Pandemic at the floor of the Sixth Session of the Thirteenth Assembly Session. In his statement, Rio said that the COVID -19 pandemic has swept the world including our country in the last 6 months infecting millions of people and causing thousands of deaths. Rio also stated that unlike other states Nagaland remained relatively free from the Novel Coronavirus in the initial phase giving precious time for the state to be prepared.
