BJP indulging in politics over Punjab rape incident: Congress

New Delhi, Oct 24 (UNI) Alleging that the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) is indulging in politics over the rape incident in Hoshiarpur in Punjab, the Congress Party on Saturday said that three senior Union Ministers of the Government were trying to make electoral gains by condemning the incident in a press conference.
Addressing a press conference here, Congress spokesperson and All India Mahila Congress President Sushmita Dev said that the Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman instead of saying something about the economic condition of the country, she raised this rape incident and tried to politicise the issue.
Similarly, the Union Ministers Prakash Javadekar and Dr Harsh Vardhan also raised this issue to derive political benefits of it.
