BJP grabbing money in the name of Modi rally: Congress

Shimla, Apr 23(UNI) Ruling Congress in the state today came down heavily on the Opposition BJP alleging that the BJP was collecting money in the name of Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s rally at Shimla from the public and businessmen.
A joint statement issued here by former MLA Ram Lal Thakur, Chief Paralimentary Secretary Rajiv Dharmani and former MLA Harbhajan Singh Bhaji alleged that BJP purchased lands in Shimla, Mandi, Bilaspur, Kangra and Hamirpur and other districts spending Rs 20 crore, during the demonetisation and now it was grabbing money from the public and businessmen to organise party rally of the Prime Minister.
Lashing out at the Opposition BJP, Congress leaders alleged that lakhs of rupees were being collected daily in various wards of Shimla Municipal Corporation as BJP workers were raising funds.
