BJP demands CBI/ED probe into Kangra Central Cooperative Bank scam

Nagrota Bagwan (Himachal Pradesh)), Sept 14 (UNI) The BJP today demanded a high-level probe by the CBI or Enforcement Directorate (ED) into alleged irregularities in the Kangra Central Cooperative Bank (KCCB).
Addressing media, former MLA Arun Kumar (Kuka) alleged that a Palampur-based private hotel was granted an inflated benefit of nearly Rs 24 crore under a One-Time Settlement (OTS) scheme, allegedly facilitated through political patronage.
Kuka questioned how repeated loans were extended to the said hotel even after it had been declared a Non-Performing Asset (NPA). “This is a mockery of transparency and amounts to a criminal act,” he charged, demanding immediate registration of an FIR against those responsible.
