BJP Cultural Cell leader alleged of snatching musical instrument: Department in darkness

Ambassa (Tripura), Nov 14 (UNI) In an interesting occurrence, a leader of BJP Cultural Cell got alleged for snatching away musical instruments from a tribal cultural organization in the name of the
department of Information and Cultural Affairs(ICA) in the subdivision of Ambassa in the northern Tripura district of Dhalai here.
The incident revealed recently as the members of that organization knocked the Senior Information Officer(SIO) Ripan Chakma. The allegation was raised by the Secretary of that Monohari Mog Cultural Organisation identified as Sudhanya Mog and members Kajuri Mog and Kanjari Mog. In 2017 the department of ICA provided the group with several musical instruments to help their cultural extravaganza and the group performed in flying colours in the state as well as outside.
In 2018, BJP Cultural Cell leader Uttam Debnath approached them with the proposal that if they would give back the instruments then they would get more valuable and modern instruments. Accordingly, he took all their instruments. But even after more than a year the group got nothing.
Then they knocked the Senior Information Officer Ripan Chakma. He just denied of any such schemes and also informed that no musical instrument from any group to be taken back in the office.
Now, the question rose how the leader could take the instruments provided by the government and what was his intention. The party should look into the matter seriously, according to the rank and file.
