BJP counters former Meghalaya CM claims on Ayushman Bharat Yojana

Shillong, Sep 15 (UNI) BJP spokesperson Nalin Kohli on Saturday countered former Meghalaya Chief Minister, Dr Mukul Sangma’s contention that the centre’s health scheme - Ayushman Bharat Yojana is replica of the state’s Megha Health Insurance Scheme (MHIS) initiated by the then Congress led Meghalaya United Alliance government.
Kohli’s argument was that if Dr Sangma, who is currently the leader of opposition, thought that he has done a good job for the people of Meghalaya then why his government did not come back to power.
“I very rarely believe that people vote out governments who works for them. So when an argument is taken that you are doing good work and people don’t acknowledge that one wonders the great work was for whom, for you cadre for your leader or for the people,” he said.
