BJP Councillor Amarjit joins Congress

Phagwara, Oct 10 (UNI) Congress got a shot in it's arm on Thursday, when dozens of BJP activists, including BJP Councillor Amarjit Singh and senior BJP leader Hari Om Gupta, joined the party, here.
Punjab Industry Minister Sunder Sham Arora welcomed the BJP leaders in the grand old party.
Earlier, BJP Councillors Om Parkash Bittu, Vikki Sood, Tripta Sharma, Kuljinder Kaur and her husband Gurdeep Deepa had joined the ruling Congress, three days back. Now, the total number of BJP Councillors, who joined the Congress recently, has risen to five.
Meanwhile, Mr Arora claimed that several BJP leaders, including Naresh Kumar, Deepak Gogna, Subash Verma, Rajinder Singh, Pardeep Gupta and Harjot Singh, also joined the party.

The State Government is always taking substantial steps for building up a dynamic startup ecosystem, to help the new entrepreneurs and youths by providing various benefits from time to time.
Giving information about the same, an official spokesperson said the Department of Information Technology, Electronics and Communication in collaboration with Startup India has launched a Virtual Mentorship Workshop Series for early stage Startups, with an aim to offer a safe mentoring platform for Mentors and Startups to engage with each other from their respective locations during the hour of crisis.

Lucknow, Jun 4(UNI) Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath on Thursday transferred Rs 1301.84 crore online in the accounts of 86,71,181 beneficiaries as pension instalment for old age pension, Nirashrit Mahila pension, Divyang pension, leprosy pension and as an additional relief under the Pradhanmantri Garib Kalyan package.

Hoshiarpur, Jun 4 (UNI) With the detection of one fresh case of novel coronavirus in village Gorsian in Dasuya sub division of this district Thursday the number of novel covid-19 infections rose to 135 in the district including 5 fatalities.

In a health bulletin issued here Thursday evening senior doctor stated that an ASI of Punjab aged 50 years of village Gorsian in Dasuya sub division, posted in Begowal police station, was found positive of novel Covid-19.
