BJP, Cong, CPI (M) create ruckus in LA over discretionary quota in PG courses

Srinagar, Jun 23 (UNI) Members from ruling Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP), Congress and CPI (M) today created ruckus in the Legislative Assembly, alleging that discretionary quota and nomination made in PG courses within the state and outside are illegal and demanded that it be stopped immediately.
Some of the protesting Members later walked out after the Speaker disallowed discussion on the issue.
As soon as Minister for Health and Medical Education Bali Bhagat replied to a question about the nominations made in the professional medical courses in the Lower House, BJP Member Rajiv Jasrotia, who had sought information in this regard, said this nomination is illegal.
